Teen in custody after allegedly stabbing 15-year-old at Cairns high school Mon 13 Jul 2026 at 2:39pm A teenage boy has been arrested over an alleged stabbing at a high school in Cairns. Police were called to Trinity Bay State High just before noon today, after reports a 15-year-old had suffered a wound to his abdomen. He has been taken to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition Police say a second 15-year-old boy left the area on foot and was found by officers in the nearby suburb of Kanimbla about half an hour later. The teenager has been taken into custody and is helping police with their enquiries. Police say there is no ongoing threat.
