Wayne Rooney is one of eight huge names to be left out of Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer's all-time England XI. The duo snubbed a number of Three Lions legends as they attempted to build an XI of the country's best-ever players.
Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Geoff Hurst, Rio Ferdinand, Kevin Keegan, Sol Campbell and Brian Robson were all left out of the starting line-up, based on their performances in a Three Lions shirt.
Both Lineker and Shearer also missed out on a spot in the starting XI, with Micah Richards and Joe Cole also taking part in the selection process.

In goal, they named England's record appearance holder, Peter Shilton, who made 125 appearances for the Three Lions, having featured in five major tournaments for his country.
Shilton appeared in the 1982, 1986 and 1990 World Cups, as well as the European Championships in 1984 and 1988. He was part of the Three Lions' squad that suffered heartache in the semi-final of the 1990 World Cup in Italy.
Kyle Walker got the nod at right-back, having played a key role in England's resurgence in recent years, while Chelsea legend John Terry got the nod in the heart of defence.
World Cup-winning captain Bobby Moore occupies the other central defender spot alongside Terry, while Ashley Cole was picked on the left-hand side of defence.
In midfield, there were some big names left out, with Paul Gascoigne and Bobby Charlton named as the midfield duo, with no place for Lampard or Gerrard. Sir David Beckham and John Barnes were selected on either flank.
Up front, Jimmy Greaves and Harry Kane were given the nod, as Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen missed out.
There was little room for debate as to who would lead the Three Lions, with Sir Alf Ramsey - the only man to win a World Cup with England - leading the all-time XI.
Lineker and Shearer's all-time England XI: Shilton; Walker, Terry, Moore, Cole; Barnes, Charlton, Gascoigne, Beckham; Kane, Greaves.
Manager: Sir Alf Ramsey.
