Asda makes major change at 321 UK stores to 'help families' The UK supermarket has made a major change and introduced a new bonus for rewards members so families can save on fuel when filling up their cars Asda has made a major change to 'help families' save money when filling up petrol. From Monday, July 13, the UK supermarket introduced a new rule that means shoppers can save on fuel through its Asda Rewards app for the first time. Customers who spend over £40 in a single in-store transaction until July 31 will receive a 5p per litre fuel coupon. These coupons will be redeemable until Friday, August 7 at participating Asda petrol stations. The new bonus allows Asda Rewards members to save alongside existing Missions, which allow shoppers to earn pounds back and make additional savings across their weekly shop. Once a shop has been completely the coupon will automatically appear in the customer’s Asda Rewards app. It can be redeemed by scanning the Asda Rewards barcode at the pump or kiosk. This could save customers up to £3 on a single refuel with a 60-litre family car. The bonus is available at 321 Asda stores and Asda Express sites that offer Asda-branded fuel.
