Police probe kangaroo shot with arrow while carrying joey

A kangaroo with a joey in its pouch has been shot with an arrow at Lake Wallace near Lithgow. WIRES volunteers worked for hours to rescue the kangaroo but were unable to assist it before it fled when spooked by passing dirt bike riders.
