Energy Spain’s Naturgy to Build $344 Million Australia Renewables Plant Spanish energy firm Naturgy Energy Group SA said its Australian unit will invest more than 300 million euros ($344 million) to build its largest renewables project in the country, combining solar power and battery storage. The facility, with 330 megawatts of solar capacity backed by 180 megawatts of battery storage, will be located in the Fraser Coast region of Queensland, according to a statement. The unit, Global Power Generation, has signed a 10-year agreement for the sale of power from the plant, it added, without saying who the deal was concluded with.
