Emmanuel Sakyi is being hunted by police after killing his seven-month-old daughter Emmanuela in a head-on car crash while twice over the legal alcohol limit
A reward has been offered as the manhunt for a dad who killed his own baby daughter in a head-on drink-driving crash continues.
Emmanuel Sakyi was found guilty last month of causing death by dangerous driving and sentenced in absentia to 15 years’ imprisonment. The 31-year-old, of Garraways in Milton Keynes, did not appear at Aylesbury Crown Court for his trial and is still wanted by police.
Sakyi fled the scene after a collision with an oncoming car on Bletcham Way in Milton Keynes in December 2022, his trial heard. His seven-month-old daughter Emmanuela, who was sitting on her mother’s lap in the passenger seat, suffered serious injuries in the crash and later died in hospital.
Jurors heard Sakyi was driving while twice over the legal alcohol limit and “demonstrably far below” the standard of any reasonable motorist.
He drove his grey Peugeot 508 “for a considerable distance on the wrong side of the road” before colliding with a green Fiat 500, the court was told.
On Thursday, which would have been Emmanuela’s fourth birthday, Crimestoppers offered a reward of up to £7,500 for information passed directly to the charity that leads to Sakyi’s arrest.
Beth Simpson, Crimestoppers regional manager for South Central West, said: “This is an appalling case involving the death of a baby girl – even worse, her death was as a result of the actions of her father, who was behind the wheel.
“Someone, somewhere will know where Emmanuel Sakyi is located. If you have information but don’t feel able to speak to police, you can contact Crimestoppers completely anonymously.
“We are not the police. We don’t ask for your details, and your information could make a vital difference in achieving justice for Emmanuela.
“Our charity exists to give people a voice without fear. If you have any information, however small it may seem, please come forward and help bring this case to a conclusion.”
The reward will only be payable for information given directly to Crimestoppers. The independent charity can be contacted by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website and a reward code must be requested during initial contact.
Police said anyone who may see Sakyi should not approach him and, instead, should call 999 immediately.
