A 13-year-old boy has tragically died and a woman has been rushed to hospital after a horror crash on the M4.
Both were passengers in a Toyota RAV-4 which Wiltshire Police say was in collision with a Renault Van between junctions 16 and 17 at about 8pm yesterday (Saturday, July 18).
Air ambulances responded and the woman was rushed to hospital while the teenage boy was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles were not seriously injured.
A Wiltshire Police statement said: "A woman, who was also a passenger in the Toyota, is being treated in hospital for serious injuries. The drivers of both vehicles were not seriously injured.
"Our thoughts are with the family of the teenager at this incredibly difficult time and we ask that their privacy is respected.
"We need to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage.
