Love Is A Stranger Festival 'cancelled' as man dies after being found 'unresponsive' A probe has been launched after a man was discovered at the Love Is A Stranger Festival, which was being held at Ballyvolane House near Fermoy in East Cork Gardai has launched an investigation after a man has died at a music festival in East Cork today (July 19). The man, reportedly in his late 40s, was found unresponsive in his tent at the Love Is A Stranger Festival at Ballyvolane House near Fermoy. Despite emergency services attending, it is believed he was pronounced dead at the scene. The remainder of the festival has now been called off. The tragic news has reportedly been shared with his family, reports Cork Beo. In a statement, the organisers stated: "We are absolutely devastated to learn of the death of a festival attendee today. "Our thoughts are with the individual's family, friends, and loved ones at this extremely difficult time. "We are assisting An Garda Síochána and the emergency services in every way possible, and will not comment further while their inquiries are ongoing. "Out of respect for those affected, today's closing concert has been cancelled. "We would like to thank the emergency services, our crew, volunteers and attendees and hosts for their support and understanding."
