The unit was fully engulfed and it took five firefighting crews more than an hour to extinguish the flames. A 22-year-old woman escaped the home but suffered life-threatening burns to her entire body. She was taken the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition. Paramedics also assessed a woman in her 30s but she did not require treatment. The rest of the complex was evacuated while crews extinguished blaze.
