Truck driver reported after losing concrete load on North-South Motorway Mon 20 Jul 2026 at 12:28pm A driver has been reported over a multi-car crash in which concrete slabs fell onto the North-South Motorway, in Adelaide's north. SA Police said the incident occurred when vehicles were merging into the southbound lane in front of "a truck laden with concrete slabs" just after 10:30am on Friday, July 10. Footage previously released by SA Police shows the truck losing its load, near Bolivar. In a statement, police said the truck lost two 15-tonne concrete segments, which they alleged fell into the roadway and collided with three cars parked on the side of the road. "Two pedestrians were standing next to a broken-down vehicle on the shoulder of the road and were struck by the parked cars," police said. "One of the pedestrians was taken to hospital by ambulance with a suspected broken arm." Another two people sustained minor injuries, police said. They reported a 38-year-old man from Para Hills West for causing harm by dangerous driving, using a mobile phone while driving, failing to wear a seatbelt and a severe risk load restraint breach. The man was also issued with a 12-month immediate loss of licence. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
