Two crime scenes have been established in Perth's south-east after a body was discovered and a teenage girl was found injured in a neighbouring suburb.
Police say they were called to an address in Bentley at 6:25am and found a person dead.
An injured person was then taken to hospital after being found nearby in Cannington.
St John's confirmed a girl under the age of 15 was taken by ambulance to Perth Children's Hospital.
Police said another person had been taken into custody.
"This is a contained incident and there are no ongoing concerns for public safety," a police spokesperson said.
Traffic in the area is at a standstill, with Albany Highway closed north of the Westfield Carousel shopping centre.
