Dog with 1 eye who beat cancer just wants to know what it's like to be loved Little Santa is searching for a new home in the UK after being dumped on the street and left for dead, and he just wants somebody to show him the love and kindness he craves Meet Santa - an adorable dog who has endured surgery, pain and abandonment but doesn't let it stop him from showing kindness to everyone around him. But despite overcoming every obstacle life has thrown at him, there's one battle he still hasn't won - finding someone who wants him. While other rescue dogs are chosen and head off to start their new lives, Santa continues to wait, hoping each day that someone will finally see past his scars and give him the chance he's never had. The gentle dog was found abandoned on the streets of Nemea, Greece, with a devastating eye injury. The damage was beyond repair, leaving vets with no choice but to remove his eye. Just as Santa began recovering, he suffered another heartbreaking setback when he was diagnosed with penile cancer. Once again, he underwent major surgery and faced another long road to recovery. Remarkably, Santa pulled through. Today, he is cancer-free, healthy and being cared for in a temporary foster home. But while his physical wounds have healed, he is still waiting for the one thing medicine can't provide - a forever family in the UK. His rescuers say the sweetest part is that Santa has never stopped loving people. Despite everything humans have put him through, he remains gentle, affectionate and calm. He adores company, loves other dogs and is happiest curled up beside someone who will simply let him be close. Santa doesn't know he's missing an eye. He doesn't know he survived cancer. He only knows that each day ends the same way - without a family to call his own. Greek Stray ResQ says Santa has shown incredible resilience throughout his life and believes it's finally time for his luck to change. After everything he has overcome, the charity hopes someone will look beyond his appearance and see the extraordinary, loving dog underneath. Santa has already fought the hardest battles of his life - and now he just needs someone willing to fight for him. Commenting on his rehoming post, one user said: "He’s gorgeous do hope someone out there can give this beautiful dog his forever home." Another user said: "What a cheeky face he has! Despite enduring so much, he still has a smile on his face! He’s hoping, he hasn’t given up."
