Network 10 moves 10 News+ from weekdays

Network 10 says its 10 News+ news and current affairs program is moving from its nightly weekday slot and will be aired on Sunday nights only. The show was launched in June 2025, after news and entertainment program The Project was cancelled following a nearly 16-year run. The network says the 5pm local news bulletin is being extended from one hour to 90 minutes, Monday to Friday, and the changes will come into effect on August 10. 10 News+ will air once a week on Sunday nights at 6:30pm. "From Monday, August 10, 10 News will expand to 90 minutes from Monday to Friday, with more resources being invested into the local 5pm news bulletin to deliver audiences more of the local stories, breaking news and in-depth reporting they rely on," a Network 10 spokesperson said. "10 News+ remains our weekly news and current affairs program on Sunday nights at 6:30pm. "It will continue to provide viewers with compelling investigations and long-form journalism, reporting that remains central to 10's news offering. "Amelia Brace and Denham Hitchcock will continue to front 10 News+ on Sunday." Staff were informed of the changes this morning. Network 10 reiterated there were no plans to outsource its news service. The company said fewer than five staff were expected to be made redundant, and staff would be redeployed to the longer bulletin.
