Adjusted net income rose 68% to $6.03 billion from $3.58 billion a year earlier, the French energy major said in a statement Thursday. That was in line with analyst estimates, which had been revised lower after Total flagged last week that it would probably report a significant profit drop in its integrated gas unit.
