The theme park on Lantau Island on Thursday unveiled a “Summer Chill” 4pm entry ticket for Hong Kong residents, priced at HK$480 (US$61), allowing guests to enter later in the day to avoid the hottest hours or periods of heavy rain. The park said it had also stepped up weather adaptation measures, including installing about 860 fans, portable air conditioning units, mist cooling systems and additional shading blinds. The resort also upgraded nearly half of its more than 40 free water dispensers to improve flow rates, a representative said. The park added that it would closely monitor the weather and adjust outdoor show schedules when the government’s heat stress at work warnings are in effect.
