Aldi's £15 'fast drying' laundry gadget like £40 B&Q version coming out Thursday Shoppers can spend less at Aldi with its new Special Buy deal coming out in a few days Aldi is updating its range of Middle Aisle Special Buys over the coming week, with more cleaning gadgets on the way, designed to help shoppers at home. The budget supermarket is popular with customers across the country for regularly offering a variety of homeware essentials at affordable prices. A fresh collection of items is due to land in stores next Thursday, July 30. Several of these will be laundry and cleaning tools, with one item similar to a pricier version on sale at B&Q. In a few days, Aldi will release its new Addis Three-Tier Airer for £14.99. It comes in either black or grey and is said to offer "a straightforward way to dry more clothes". The airier may be handy for shoppers who wish to cut down on their tumble dryer energy usage and electricity costs by taking advantage of the warm summer weather to dry clothes outside in a 'speedy' way. The airer offers 16 meters worth of drying space. It has pull-out arms to create extra hanging drying space and comes with a built-in anti-collapse mechanism that folds down "easily" for sleek storage. It can also be locked in place using the "specially designed locking clip". Aldi says that the "drying bars have been spaced to maximise the airflow to speed up drying time". The supermarket also says it comes with a three-year warranty and that its design is "strong, yet lightweight". B&Q is selling a similar airer online, which, although it looks similar at a glance, costs more. The DIY retailer is offering an Indoor and Outdoor Clothes Airer for £39.99. B&Q says the £40 airer is "easy to use" and "provides a reliable solution for drying clothes efficiently and maintaining a tidy home environment". The store's version is also made of powder-coated steel that is "rust-proof and waterproof". There are three hanging levels with a drying capacity of 20 meters. B&Q says it is designed to make it easier to organise laundry and takes up much less space than vertical models. It adds: "A compact drying solution for indoor and outdoor use... Save energy and money by using this extra-large airer to dry laundry naturally and the energy costs that come from tumble drying." Another cleaning and laundry gadget coming to Aldi stories on Thursday is the £2.49 Peg Basket and Sock Hanger. Aldi says the contraption helps "keep small garments organised and secure while drying". The affordable item features a foldable design, with adjustable hooks and includes 36 pegs. The store says: "Lightweight and convenient for everyday laundry use. Choose from Sock Hanger or Peg Basket in Grey or Green."
