PT Organics fruit pouches recalled over possible soft strands of plastic in purée

More than 380,000 fruit pouches are being recalled nationwide over concerns they may contain soft strands of plastic in the purée. PT Organics said in a statement last week it traced the issue to an internal packaging defect, that could cause thin strands of food-grade plastic from the lining of the pouch to end up in the product when squeezed. The affected products, Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics Banana & Strawberry 4 oz.
