Here we go again, with 27 gold medals to be won today. It’s the start of athletics and para athletics at these Games, and there’ll be plenty of focus on the pool with the 50m men’s breaststroke final as Adam Ramsay-Peaty tries to execute his “battle plan”. The first thing we’ll turn to is the men’s weightlifting, with medals up for grabs in the 71kg event.
