Concertgoers trapped on sweltering tube for 90 mins after trespasser jumps on track Crowds heading home from a Bruno Mars concert had flooded the Tube at Wembley and were left stranded for 90 minutes after a trespasser jumped on the tracks Concertgoers were left trapped on a London Underground train in sweltering conditions after a trespasser jumped onto the tracks. Crowds heading home from a Bruno Mars concert had flooded the Tube at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday, July 28, when the chaos unfolded. Multiple passengers reportedly suffered heat exhaustion during the 90-minute ordeal, which saw the train get stuck at around 11:15pm before eventually reaching Finchley Road station at 12.45am. A social media post from the parent of an affected concertgoer said passengers were then left stranded in London after missing their connecting train home. The user added that the nightmare journey left a number of people suffering heat exhaustion. Footage posted to TikTok showed the driver trying to reassure passengers, telling them: "I want to go home, just like you guys do." Another clip showed passengers slumped on the floor while waiting for the train to move, reports MyLondon. Transport for London (TfL) workers were forced to switch the current off on the track while emergency services were called to remove the person from the tracks. Several people on board appear to have been attending the last of American pop star Bruno Mars' five shows at Wembley on his 'Romantic Tour'. A TfL spokesperson said: "We apologise to Metropolitan line customers for the disruption to their journeys following the Bruno Mars concert on Tuesday evening. "This was caused by a trespasser on the line, which meant the traction current had to be switched off while the emergency services worked to remove the individual involved."
