The visitors took the lead just six minutes later following an excellent break by Cade Cust who had Ethan O'Neill and Davy Litten for support, and he was able to finish off in the corner but Zak Hardaker was unable to add the extras. Their lead was short-lived though, as Hull turned defence into attack with a break down the field courtesy of O'Neill and he offloaded to Litten who finished off the move to make it 16-12. Huddersfield bit back once again when Lewis Jagger dived over to make it a level game and after Hull were pulled for a high tackle, the home side went down the other end and got the winning try when Flanagan dived behind the posts to pick up another vital win. "It was nice to have a bit of belief at the back end of the game and find a way to win instead of lose," Huddersfield head coach Jim Lenihan told Sky Sports. "It's the reward of a lot of hard work in training. The biggest part is we are looking forward to playing football.
