'I died and saw Heaven and Hell – message I came back with made me millionaire' A woman who claims she died during emergency surgery says what she witnessed beyond life changed everything she thought she knew — and set her on an unexpected path decades later A woman who says she died during emergency surgery has claimed she travelled through Heaven and Hell before returning to life with a message she believes transformed her future. Kat Dunkle says the experience completely changed her outlook after she spent years rejecting God following a devastating family tragedy. She now believes what happened while she was clinically dead led her from bankruptcy and homelessness to becoming a multimillionaire. Speaking to creatorzine.com, Kat said: “I’ve gone from extreme poverty to being a multimillionaire. And it’s all because of the message I brought home from God.” Now 83 and from Kansas City, US, Kat said she lost all faith after her seven-year-old son, Mark, was killed by a car in 1967. She recalled: “Mark had been hit by a car. I was convinced he would live, but then a nurse asked if I wanted to call a priest. “I didn’t want one there bothering the doctors; I just wanted them to focus on saving him. But a priest came anyway. “I was crying and sick to my stomach as they said he was unable to be saved. I always had a disbelief that God existed; but, after this, the feeling turned into fury. And I hated every thought of him.” Her life continued to unravel as she later went bankrupt, lost her father and suffered severe internal bleeding after injuring herself in her car. Rushed into emergency surgery, Kat says she began travelling through a dark tunnel while doctors fought to save her. She claimed she saw her husband, Don, and her surviving sons praying before feeling an overwhelming sense of peace. She said: “I felt peace – until a horrendous noise bellowed. It was like a freight train. “But then a wave of peace like I’ve never experienced before washed over me. I wanted to stay there forever.” Kat said she was then pulled towards Heaven before suddenly being plunged into Hell, where she cried out for forgiveness. She said: “I kept telling him that I know he exists and I do believe. I apologised. “The fall quickly stopped – and I began spiralling backwards. A voice told me to bring people to him. And then I was back in my body.” After recovering, Kat said recurring dreams inspired her to launch a consulting business, which she believes ultimately made her a multimillionaire. More than five decades on, she said the experience still shapes her life. She said: “What you’re headed for is something glorious, beautiful – you have to believe that. “[Death] is a moment where people are faced with a choice. There are two choices to make. One is to be with God and one is to be in Hell. I was dead before I repented and came to Jesus. I’m not special.” She added: “Being that close to God was so overwhelmingly beautiful. It has kept me going for over 50 years yelling the same thing. God’s real. He’s real.”
