The screams of hundreds of fans waving glowing pink orbs grew louder as one member of Boy Throb appeared on stage at Irving Plaza in New York City earlier this month.

Singer Darshan Magdum wasn’t there in person – he was calling from India while his visa application to enter the United States remained in limbo. With his face projected across a large screen on stage as he spoke through Zoom, he told the crowd: “I’m so sad that I can’t be there with you all tonight.”
