Theresa Anne McDonald, 55, appeared in Queanbeyan Local Court on Monday, where she pleaded not guilty to dangerous driving occasioning death and an alternative charge of negligent driving occasioning death. The case will now go to trial in the New South Wales District Court. Ms McKeown was the Director of Visitor Services at the ACT government's tourism agency, VisitCanberra, at the time of her death. She had led the service for three years, and the centre was named the country's best at the 2022-23 Australian Tourism Awards.
