The UK can brace for cooler temperatures as weather charts show lows of 7C across England, Scotland and Wales as the heatwave comes to an end
UK weather maps show that the heatwave is set to end as a 7C chill is coming to the UK with 40 areas plummeting to below 10C.
According to WXCharts weather maps, from this week the temperature will switch and cooler conditions will grip much of the nation.
On Friday, August 7, areas in Scotland, England and Wales will drop to as low as 7C.
The majority of Scotland is likely to be the coolest as the maps predict most of the country will be below 10C.
In England, it will be slightly warmer in the south, but nothing compared to the 30C plus highs that have been experienced recently.
Areas in Durham, Devon and Warwickshire will sit at 10C or lower on the Friday alongside much of Scotland.
The Met Office have warned that after a wet period it is likely to turn drier from Thursday. From then the forecaster predicts a "rather changeable" spell.
This includes cooler temperatures but with the chance of sunny interludes.

The cold conditions will stick around for a short period, as Tuesday, August 11 will also see some areas drop to 7C.
However, temperatures on this day do also start to creep back into the teens for many of the areas that previously fell to below 10C.
