A fun optical illusion has been shared online which may suggest whether you're a positive person or prefer to keep your distance from others and it all depends on what you see first
Optical illusions are a fun and unserious way to get an insight into your true personality. Also they can often speak volumes about hidden parts of your psyche you never knew about. They offer an entertaining method to allow for self-exploration, and by going with your gut in the first instance, you may reveal hidden aspects of your character.
That's why, when one woman shared a personality test, people were gobsmacked at what it meant for them as a person, and many were left questioning themselves based on it, as they never realised they were like that as a person.
TikTok user @marina.neuralean presented followers with an intriguing graphic. According to her, how you perceive the image can indicate whether you're naturally optimistic or more guarded.
Of course, things like this should be taken with a pinch of salt and are not verified by experts - but they do make you consider your inner world a little bit more than you perhaps would on a day-to-day basis.
So, what do you spot in the picture below – a waterfall or panda?
The content creator suggests that whichever you notice "reveals how easily you open up to others".
This is what it means if you spot a waterfall first
"If the waterfall was the first thing you noticed, it means you open up easily and make new connections easily," she explained, noting that "you see yourself as an open person".
You possess a "lightness" and "simplicity" that attracts others which is really positive, especially if you're a social butterfly. You're also "a great listener, and give genuinely helpful advice".
Yet there could be a "downside" to this trait, as people may perceive you as "too positive, to the point where they think you have no problems at al". This there means people will perceive you as extremely lucky, and may be shocked when you express that you're a little bit down.
This stems from the fact that "when others come to you with their issues, you're always there to listen and help".
But "when it comes to your own problems, you prefer to handle them alone".
And while you "take pride in your independence, deep down, you wish you had someone to lean on and share your struggles with".
This is what it means if you spot a panda first
"If you see a bear or panda first, you're the opposite of the previous description," Marina shared.
You "may appear sweet and friendly on the outside, but you don't easily let people into your heart".
Typically, it "takes you a long time to trust someone, and you have a hard time letting go of past hurts" as well.
Marina explained this could stem from "past traumatic experiences," where you were "betrayed or deceived" leading you to "keep your distance".
However, this isn't necessarily "a bad thing," as it "shows you've learned from your past".
It also indicates you're "cautious not to make the same mistakes" from before, making your guarded nature entirely understandable.
