Father in his 30s shot dead as tributes pour in - 'I'll never forget you daddy' Jimmy Ward, who died after a fatal shooting in Calcutt, near Cricklade in Wiltshire, has been described as a 'proud' father and grandfather Tributes are pouring in for a "lovely" father who has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting. Jimmy Ward, aged in his 30s, suffered a fatal gunshot wound as emergency services were called to the scene of the incident at around 8am yesterday. A murder investigation is now ongoing following the shooting at a traveller site in Calcutt, near Cricklade in Wiltshire. Two people who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession of a firearm remain in police custody. One suspect remains outstanding as they are believed to have "interacted" with the victim on Saturday evening. A police cordon is still in place at the scene and Wiltshire Police said this will likely remain so in the coming days. Tributes have now started pouring in for Mr Ward, who has been praised as a "legend" father and grandfather. One tribute written on social media read: "My lovely legend of a daddy, I'll never forget you daddy. I'll make sure you're done proud. "You were a proud daddy and grandad and carried my child around like he was a trophy. I love you forever my lovely beautiful daddy. I can't believe you're gone." Another message read: "Rest in peace my cousin, Jimmy Ward. Lord watch over his family." Another message stated: "Rest in peace to my daughter-in-law's dad, Jimmy Ward. Please everyone pray for all the family. My heart goes out to them all." One more tribute read: "Rest in peace Jimmy. I can't believe it. May you get the best bed in heaven my cousin." Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker, of Wiltshire Police, explained that officers are working at pace to locate the outstanding suspect. He said: "First and foremost, my thoughts remain with the victim’s friends and family at this sad time. "Our investigation has been continuing at pace since the incident was first reported and it is a Force priority to locate the outstanding suspect, who is thought to have left the Wiltshire area. I understand the concern that this incident will have caused for our local communities. "Our officers are currently at the scene and the Mobile Police Station is in Cricklade today – if you have any concerns or questions then please don’t hesitate to speak with us."
