Morrisons is stocking Christmas items in August and shoppers have same complaint A woman has shared that Morrisons is already stocking a wide variety of Christmas confectionery items in August, and shoppers are all complaining about the same thing Morrisons shoppers were flabbergasted to see Christmas chocolate being sold on shelves in August, with people wondering why we can't simply just enjoy the season we're currently in. The UK is experiencing yet another heatwave, but supermarkets are getting ahead of themselves by bringing out the sleigh bells and decking the halls already, even though it's a whopping 144 days away. And we all know that if you buy Christmas chocolate right now, there's a 99.9% chance that you're going to be enjoying it before the festivities well and truly start when December rolls around in 119 days. UK's Newest Foods shared that "Christmas has landed at Morrisons in August". The selection boxes are on the shelves already, ready to be devoured, with "six festive treats inside," including Crunchie, Wispa, Dairy Milk, Fudge, Buttons, and a caramel Freddo. Milkybar has brought out a tasty, festive caramel crunch flavour, and there are mini Kit Kat chocolate orange Santas available, too, or if you'd prefer standard flavours, they have those. If Milkybar 'festive friends' are more your thing, then you're in luck, and there are five packs of the KitKat chocolate Santas in the original flavour, also. After Eight, the beloved Christmas favourite, has brought out some 'winter fondants' in different festive shapes that are bound to go down a treat with choccie lovers. Aero is offering a 'festive orange' flavour, and Rowntrees Randoms have a 'sleigh-tastic' flavour on offer. Of course, it wouldn't be Christmas without tubes of your favourite goodies, and Morrisons has those in abundance, from Smarties to Milkybar. But in the comments section, people were replying to those complaining, asking why they were shocked. Someone wrote: "Are people ever going to stop being surprised? This happens every year, or will we forever hear ' it's not even Halloween ' and ' it's only August '? Get over it, it's the same every year!" Another wrote: "Usually, the last weekend in August, the first bits appear in supermarkets and tend to grow a little each week. It’s a shame, I was in the range at the weekend, and it was all autumn and Halloween stuff. "Companies just rush us through the year to take as much money as they can, and people just live in the future instead of the now. People are buying Halloween stuff now, then in October will just be buying Xmas stuff, and by Xmas, thinking about Easter". A third said: "Been doing it for around 20 years in August and you’ll still get the idiots acting shocked when they see it in the stores and then you have the ones that moan about it, then leave everything else till the last two days, then moan they didn’t have time to get stuff, and it’s all gone". A fourth joked: "Does this mean I can put my Halloween decorations up now?"
