Allegedly stolen car involved in serious crash in Cairns Posted Wed 5 Aug 2026 at 2:54pm , updatedWed 5 Aug 2026 at 2:59pm Police say a driver has been arrested after an allegedly stolen car was involved in a multi-vehicle crash north of Cairns. Police and paramedics were called to the scene on the Smithfield Bypass just before 1:30pm. The Queensland Ambulance Service said multiple patients were being taken to hospital.
