DoorDash Inc. issued a profit forecast that surpassed Wall Street expectations, citing a boom in paid subscribers who are ordering takeout and grocery more frequently.
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization will be in the range of $950 million to $1.1 billion for the three months ending Sept. 30, DoorDash said in a statement on Wednesday. The midpoint of that range is well above the average analyst estimate of $982.2 million, according to Bloomberg-compiled data. Gross order value will be between $33 billion and $34 billion, it said. Wall Street was projecting $33.5 billion, on average.
