Police said the victim was shot twice in the chest on nearby Banksia Road before he was driven to Mimosa Street.
He was treated by paramedics and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The vehicle he was transported in, a Skoda SUV, was seized for forensic examination, and police are speaking to the driver.
Police said emergency services were called to a car fire on Celia in Street in Granville at about 3am on Friday.
Responding officers found a Toyota Hilux well alight.
The blaze was extinguished by firefighters but the vehicle was significantly damaged.
Police said a third crime scene was established on the street and investigators are treating the incidents as linked.
Inquiries are ongoing.
