Man fights for life after plunging from Majorca flats onto pair drinking at bar The man fell from a 12-storey building near Palma's Barcelona Square before reportedly hitting a tree then two other people A man is fighting for his life after plunging from a Majorca apartment block and landing on two people he left seriously injured. The pair he hit as he reached the ground were sat at a bar terrace in the island's capital Palma having a drink. The drama happened just before 4pm this afternoon below a 12-storey building near the city's Barcelona Square. Unconfirmed local reports said the man had rowed with his partner shortly before the horror incident. He reportedly collided with a tree near the ground which slightly cushioned his fall before landing onto a table where the men at ground-level were sitting. A witness said: "He fell onto the table but he seems to have hit one of them almost full-on, who ended up laid out on the floor and appeared to be in very serious condition." Police and ambulances raced to the scene and paramedics performed life-saving CPR on the man who had plunged from the apartment block before taking him to hospital. Cops escorted the ambulance rushing him to Son Espases Hospital in Palma so they could help clear traffic along the way and make sure he got there as soon as possible. Another local, describing the scene, said: "The table was broken and the chairs crushed, I saw how they were resuscitating the man who landed on the other two. He was on the floor and four paramedics were trying to revive him. It was very intense." The nationalities of the three men has not yet been made public.
