Rita Sculley, 97, got to meet the youngest member of her family Harmony Gibbs when she was born on July 20. The newborn is the daughter of 18-year-old Corryn Cook, granddaughter of 35-year-old Kimberly Brewer, great-granddaughter of Tina Hibberd, 53, great-great-granddaughter Patricia Keen, 70, and great-great-great granddaughter of Rita. Mum-of-two Rita has one of the only families in the UK to span six generations. The family say Harmony's arrival has made them realise just how lucky they are to have so many generations together, with Rita still "pretty active" and able to spend quality time with all of her descendants. Having six generations alive in one family is incredibly rare, with only a handful of recorded cases in the UK. The world record for most generations in one family was seven, held by an American family in 1989, when 109-year-old Augusta Bunge was alive to meet her great-great-great-great-grandson Christopher. Great-granddaughter Tina, who used to work for Amazon, said: "It's amazing. Words can't really describe it. It's filled with love because I just love them all. I couldn't imagine life without them. "We found out Corryn was pregnant in November. When they told us it was going to be another girl it made it even more special." Rita was born 1929 and there are 97 years between the oldest and youngest member. The close-knit family get together every Sunday at Rita's home near Aldbourne, where they catch up in the garden, drink tea, and spend time together. The family, from Swindon, found out Corryn was pregnant in November and were thrilled to discover the baby was going to be another girl - continuing the family's run of daughters across six generations. Harmony's birth was eagerly anticipated, with relatives attending pregnancy scans alongside Corryn and counting down the days until she arrived. Corryn gave birth without any pain relief and was back home with her baby girl later the same morning. Tina couldn't sleep and waited up all night for the phone call. Tina said: "We've always been a big family and there are lots of girls. I have four sisters. So having six generations of women together is just extra special." "Eighteen years ago we had five generations together, and now, all these years later, we've got six. It's incredible. I was up all night waiting for the call, I couldn't sleep. Then my daughter rang to say 'She's here, and she's healthy!'" Harmony was born weighing just 8lb at 2.09am on July 20 at Great Western Hospital in Swindon, Wiltshire. Tina added: "Harmony's doing really well. She's already sleeping through the night most nights, she's perfect." "My gran [Rita] kept saying 'I hope I can see the baby! I hope I'm still here, I hope I make it!" Rita, who became a great-great-great-grandmother at the age of 97, said she hopes to watch Harmony grow up and is loving every moment she gets to spend with the newest addition to the family. Kimberly, Harmony's gran and Corryn's mum, said: "It's domination of women isn't it." "It's obviously really special, that's why we wanted to get everyone together. I think it's brought me and my daughter even closer. She's doing really well, getting into the swing of being a young mum. She's taken to it like a duck to water. Corryn lives at home with her mum, and now her daughter. Kimberly added: "It is chaos! But it's nice I can help her. I can show her and tell her it's going to be okay. Some people can't even say they've got a nan. So to have a great-nan and a great-great-nan, you don't see it. It's really special. Especially for my nan, she just kept saying 'this is so lovely!"
