Co-operative Bank gives 'one-week' alert as millions eligible for extra £100 payment It makes for a total of £300 in free cash The Co-operative Bank is reminding customers that there is now just a week left to bag an extra £100 payment, giving those eligible a total of £300. It said time was ticking to take advantage of what is called "its biggest-ever switching offer", with eligible customers able to receive up to £300 when they switch their current account. The bank said that customers switching to either a Standard Current Account or Everyday Extra could receive up to £200 - £125 upfront and £25 per month for three months when actively using the account. In addition, eligible Co-operative Bank and Coventry Building Society customers could receive a further £100 loyalty bonus, but this element of the offer closes on August 17, 2026. More than four million customers are eligible for the additional £100 payment, which it claimed made it one of the most generous switching incentives currently available on the market. The switch offer comes alongside a range of recent changes to the Bank’s Everyday Extra account. The refreshed package now costs £12 per month, reduced from £18, and provides benefits worth more than £640, the bank said. Travel and mobile phone insurance covers everyone in the household. UK and European breakdown cover can also be used when travelling as a passenger in someone else’s car. The bank said it had already removed its 2.75% foreign transaction fee on debit card spending overseas – now a standard feature across all of its current accounts. Current account holders will also have access to the Regular Saver account, offering an exclusive 7.00% gross/AER variable. Customers can open with as little as £1 and save up to £250 each month, earning up to £114 in interest over the 12-month term. Kat Robinson, head of family and everyday banking at The Co-operative Bank, said: "There is now just a short time left for eligible customers to secure our additional £100 loyalty bonus, so we'd encourage anyone thinking about switching to act before the August 17 deadline. "Combined with our £200 switch offer, our loyal customers could receive up to £300, while also benefiting from improvements we've made across our current account range, including fee-free debit card spending overseas and access to our competitive Regular Saver account. "For customers looking for even more value, our Everyday Extra account now costs £12 a month and includes a range of insurance and protection benefits designed to support people at home and when travelling abroad." "The additional £100 payment has been a great way for us to recognise the loyalty of Co-operative Bank and Coventry Building Society customers, and we're pleased to be giving people one final opportunity to take advantage of it before the offer ends."
