All emergency services were called to the scene as the road remained closed in both directions Detective Inspector Mark Fraser explained that the police are now working to establish the circumstances of the crash. He said: "First and foremost, my thoughts are very much with this young child’s family and wider loved ones. We have specialist officers in place with them to ensure they are given as much support as possible. "Our investigation is progressing and we will be interviewing a driver of a lorry in the coming days. Incidents such as this are clearly sensitive and complex and we are committed to fully understanding the circumstances around what happened yesterday.
