He hadn't played football since 2023 but called his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, once the Dolphins traded Jonnu Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers. His time with the Dolphins started slowly; he suffered a hip and quad injury in training camp that kept him out of the entire preseason and first three weeks of the regular season. Waller debuted in Week 4 with two touchdown catches against the New York Jets. He followed it up with touchdowns in consecutive games over the next two weeks but suffered a pectoral injury in Week 7 that landed him on injured reserve. Waller returned in Week 13 but was placed on injured reserve again with a groin injury in Week 18. He finished the season with 283 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 24 catches. A sixth-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 2015, Waller has 374 receptions for 4,407 yards and 26 touchdowns in his career. ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques contributed to this report.
