Foreign Investors Flee Brazil Stocks at Fastest Pace Since 2021 Foreign investors pulled money out of Brazilian equities on Tuesday at the fastest pace in over five years as concerns over the presidential election make them increasingly wary of the outlook for the fiscal deficit and the economy. Investors abroad yanked over 4.7 billion reais ($906 million) out of the market on Aug. 11, the same day that JPMorgan downgraded the nation’s stocks to neutral from overweight, saying they “would rather stay on the sidelines than pay for uncertainty.”
