She's looking ruff! Meet the latest winner of the World's Ugliest Dog contest - Pug Jinny Lu, who found a loving home after being rescued from the dog meat trade.
The unique-looking pooch claimed the annual title at the 2026 content in Sonoma-Marin Fair in Santa Rosa, US. The event, which has now been running for 50 years, is not about "making fun of ugly dogs" but "having fun with some wonderful characters."
Jinny Lu got tongues wagging after being saved from death in South Korea. The dog is known for "arguing" with her own reflection, according to contest organisers, as her owner Michelle Grady took home the $5,000 prize, around £3,700.
"She absolutely loves competition, meeting everyone, and everything the event stands for," her owner said.
"Jinny Lu has been going into schools with some of her other rescue pug friends to teach kids about the importance of adopting pets," organisers said. "She has also brought joy to hospice patients and people in memory care facilities."
