He entered the final round in contention to win the tournament but struggled to a 1-over 73 on Sunday to finish in a five-way tie for second place at 12-under overall. Drives of 500 yards or longer are extremely rare in major tour play. Louis Oosthuizen hammered a 500-yard, cart path-aided drive in 2013 at the Ballantine's Championship on the then-European Tour. Zhou entered the tournament ranked No. 247 overall in the world and has played in 12 DP World Tour events this season. According to the tour's web site, he is averaging 304.14 yards off the tee this season, the 61st-longest average on the tour.
