The films will star Harris Dickinson (Triangle of Sadness, Babygirl) as John Lennon, Paul Mescal (Gladiator II, Hamnet) as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn (The Fantastic Four: First Steps) as George Harrsion and Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin, Saltburn) as Ringo Starr.
All four actors have been filmed recreating the front cover of the band's seminal 1969 record 'Abbey Road', which shows the Beatles using a pedestrian crossing outside the studio where the album was recorded. It is one of the most famous and iconic images linked to the band, as well as one of their greatest records.

The four-film series, titled The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event, is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2028, with all four films set to be released simultaneously on 7 April 2028.
The surviving members of the Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, have both given their approval for the films, with all four films shot consecutively.
Mendes (Skyfall, 1917) is directing all four films, one for each member of the band. Considering each film will focus on the lives of one of the band members, many are speculating there will be overlapping footage and different perspectives in a Rashomon-style structure and narrative.
The films also have the distinction of being the first ever-movies to be granted music rights to the Beatles discography.
They will also star Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Starr’s former wife Maureen Starkey Tigrett, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, and Aimee Lou Wood as former model and photographer Pattie Boyd.
The real-life Pattie Boyd recently spoke out about the films and not being contacted, saying in a podcast hosted by Chris O’Dell: “I would have thought it would be polite to mention it to me or let me know that they got someone who’s going to be playing me."
She added: “Don’t you think they’d let me know? Well, I haven’t been contacted by anyone. I could have really told them great stories. But I don’t think they want to know.”
The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event is currently scheduled for simultaneous release on 7 April 2028.
