Woman finds £1,000 of clothes in a charity shop and pays just £40 The haul included a £499 designer jacket for less than £10 A woman found an estimated £1,000 worth of clothing for just £40 after hitting the “jackpot” at her local charity shop. Holly Wood is a self-confessed “shopaholic” who has gone viral for her clever bargain finds. In her latest haul, the Manchester woman found a number of fashionable items, including a £499 designer jacket for less than £10. In a TikTok which garnered more than 113,000 views, the 39-year-old says: “I’ve just found about £1,000 worth of clothes in the charity shops for about 40 quid. “As I was going through, I was like ‘Hold on a minute – I think I’ve landed a bit more of a jackpot than I realised’. “I’ve just had a little Google and totted up what everything would have been sold for, and it’s basically just under £1,000!” The haul includes a pair of funky jeans from Nastygal, a shirred red top from Twisted Wonder London, a red strapless top from H&M, a pair of striped shorts from Native Youth, a sequin top from Lucce, and a pair of cargo shorts from Bershka Holly was thrilled to find a metallic 100% leather designer jacket from Karen Millen, which originally retailed at £499 and is currently on sale for £325 – though she paid just £8.95 for it. Next up, Holly found a Reiss dress which originally retailed at £180, which she bagged for just £6, followed by a black bardot neckline dress from Nicole Nulla, and finally a cream long sleeve dress from Oh Polly. Much of her bargain buys cost less than a fiver – despite retailing for far more. In total, the original retail value of the items comes in at just shy of £1,000, according to Holly, though she spent around £40 herself. The secondhand shopper noted that “sizing means nothing”, with her haul including sizes ranging from a 6-14. Holly added: “Here’s to another successful charity shop haul!”
