Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland customers are reporting online banking problems, with thousands of outage reports logged as users complain on social media.
Customers of Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland are reporting problems with online banking as thousands of outage reports flood in.
Downdetector recorded around 2,450 reports for Lloyds shortly before midday on August 18, alongside more than 1,000 for Halifax and over 340 for Bank of Scotland.
Customers have also taken to X to report issues, with one person saying: “Trying to book flights online but Lloyds site has crashed again.”

Lloyds has now acknowledged the disruption affecting customers, saying some are unable to use its app and online banking.
One Lloyds customer has shared the error message appearing on their iPhone when trying to access the bank’s app.
They wrote on X: “I’m getting this error on my iPhone when I try and access the Lloyds bank application. I’ve tried a couple of times, the last was at 12:24 on August 18.”
“If I press continue I get an error code 7000001 and the app says it has logged me out.”
Halifax has confirmed some customers are experiencing issues with its app and online banking services.
Bank of Scotland is the third banking service seeing a sharp rise in reports.
Downdetector recorded more than 340 reports at around 11.51am, with its baseline listed as zero.
Reports of problems with Lloyds Bank surged into the thousands late on Tuesday morning.
