Laura Loomer says ‘jealous’ White House staff are leaking to press about Trump aide Natalie Harp: ‘Must want her job’ ‘A lot of the people who work for President Trump suffer from major professional jealousy and they are very bothered by loyalty,’ Laura Loomer wrote - Bookmark - CommentsGo to comments The “nasty” stories about President Donald Trump’s executive assistant Natalie Harp are being leaked from inside the White House, Laura Loomer has claimed. Loomer, a conservative activist and close Trump ally, alleged in a social media post that White House staffers are jealous of Harp, who has drawn intense media attention in recent months. “Make no mistake, the nasty stories you’re seeing about Natalie Harp that are being posted are coming from inside the West Wing,” Loomer wrote on X on Wednesday. “A lot of the people who work for President Trump suffer from major professional jealousy and they are very bothered by loyalty.” “How would anyone in the media know about Natalie’s work performance or have detailed accounts of her conversations with POTUS unless her colleagues are speaking badly about her?” Loomer continued. “Someone who works with her must want her job.” Loomer, who has been known to propagate online conspiracy theories, went on to claim that Trump is surrounded by people who place their own ambitions over loyalty. “There are way too many leakers in the WH,” she wrote. “This is why vetting matters.” The Independent has contacted the White House for comment. Harp, 35, reportedly helps manage Trump’s Truth Social account and handles a range of other administrative tasks for the president. In recent months, she has attracted intense media scrutiny, due in part to her near-constant presence at Trump’s side and what some perceive as an unusually fervent devotion to him. In a recently published book, New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan reported that Harp was known to leave Trump adoring notes, including one that read: “You are all that matters to me.” The authors said they interviewed numerous Washington insiders for the book. Haberman has also referred to Harp, a former One America News Network presenter, as Trump’s “binkie” and “comfort blanket.” Her estranged brother, meanwhile, has described her relationship with the president as “very unhealthy.” CNN also recently reported that, in 2023, Harp jumped into the trunk of an SUV when there was no space for her to ride in Trump’s motorcade to a court hearing in New York. At the same time, Haberman has said Harp wields incredible power as a “conduit for information” to the president. “She is in almost every single — I mean, really I’m not kidding — almost every single meeting,” Haberman previously told MS NOW. The White House, for its part, has vigorously defended Harp. “No president has cultivated as much loyalty among their staffers and administration officials as President Trump; this is a testament to his commitment to our country and its people,” a White House spokesperson previously told The Independent. “Natalie Harp is a beloved White House Official, and the Fake News Media will never understand what it’s like to be as trusted and admired as her.” Scrutiny of the president’s assistant intensified after it was reported that Harp was among a small group of aides chosen to accompany Trump aboard a military aircraft departing Turkey last month. Senator Jon Ossoff, a Georgia Democrat, appeared to allude to the report at a rally over the weekend, claiming Trump “wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.” Several prominent conservatives objected to Ossoff’s jibe, including White House Communications Director Steven Cheung and CNN commentator Scott Jennings. “Donald Trump has done more to elevate women in politics than any other President. Jon Ossoff is a despicable coward who thinks he can get ahead by smearing a cancer survivor and loyal public servant, Natalie Harp,” Jennings wrote on X. Harp survived bone cancer and has credited Trump’s right-to-try law with saving her life. Not every Trump ally, however, was outraged by Ossoff’s comment. “Am I fazed by this comment? No,” Fox News host Jesse Watters said Tuesday. “Has Trump said so much worse? So much more sleazy things against other people? Yes. Have I defended those things? Absolutely. So I’m not going to pretend I’m all hot and bothered about it, and the president doesn’t care.” Join our commenting forum Join thought-provoking conversations, follow other Independent readers and see their replies Comments
