Lotto winner scoops £4.3 million jackpot as five others become millionaires No-one matched all five plus the Thunderball to win £500,000 - Bookmark - CommentsGo to comments A single ticket-holder claimed a £4.3 million jackpot in Wednesday’s Lotto draw, while five further players won £1 million each. The top winner secured the main jackpot by matching all six main numbers, whereas the five £1 million winners matched five numbers and the bonus ball. The winning National Lottery Lotto numbers for Wednesday were: Round 1: 01, 06, 24, 32, 48, 54 and the bonus number was 09. Round 2: 04, 08, 10, 17, 23, 28 and the bonus number was 16. Meanwhile, in the Lotto HotPicks game—which relies on the same drawn numbers—one player matched five numbers to win £175,000, and 21 players matched four numbers to win £6,500 each. Wednesday’s National Lottery Thunderball winning numbers were 02, 03, 11, 12, 24 and the Thunderball number is 06. No-one matched all five plus the Thunderball to win £500,000, and one player matched five to take £5,000. On Saturday, the estimated jackpot is £2 million. Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn – operator of the Lottery, said: “There’s plenty to celebrate for one lucky ticket-holder who has bagged tonight’s £4.3 million Lotto jackpot. “And the good news keeps on coming, as a further five millionaires were made tonight after matching five main numbers and the bonus ball. “That’s a fantastic 20 millionaires made in August so far – nearly one every day as new Lotto is now making more millionaires than ever before. Check your tickets and get in touch if you think you might be one of tonight’s lucky winners.” The news comes as the boss of National Lottery operator Allwyn UK is stepping down after a nearly three-year tenure leading a “long-overdue transformation”. The company has announced Andria Vidler will leave her role as chief executive next month following an agreement with UK chairman Justin King. She will be replaced by Phil Walker on an interim basis from September 7, who joins from betting shop chain William Hill. Ms Vidler said she decided it was the “right moment” to hand over to a new boss to drive growth following the completion of a major tech upgrade to the lottery. She took the helm at Allywn’s UK business in October 2023, before the company took over from Camelot to run the lottery in early 2024.
