A “much-loved” grandad has died in hospital nearly two weeks after being hit by a vehicle in an Aldi car park.
David Bush was hit by a Toyota Prius in the supermarket car park on Halifax Road in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, at around 12.55pm on August 6.
The 77-year-old suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and died in hospital on August 17.
His family have since paid an emotional tribute, saying he would be “missed dearly”. They said: “David was a much-loved husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed dearly by those knew him.”
A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police ’s Major Collision Enquiry Team are investigating and want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision.
Police are also appealing for anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the incident to come forward.
