Donald Trump's White House faces backlash after AI 'Epstein lookalike' Freedom 250 Grand Prix promo post A post by a US Government department led to a wave of shocked messages from people who thought it had shared an AI image of Donald Trump with Jeffrey Epstein and Hillary Clinton An AI-generated post shared by a US government department has raised eyebrows with some people claiming it showed Donald Trump smiling alongside Jeffrey Epstein. The US Department of Education posted a Mario Kart–style image, created by X's AI assistant Grok, of cartoon versions of the President in a car alongside the Secretary of Education Linda McMahon and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. But some social media users and even Democrat lawmakers suggested Duffy resembled convicted sex offender Epstein instead. Others even suggested the AI version of McMahon looked like Hillary Clinton. The post was intended to promote the Freedom 250 Grand Prix, an IndyCar race through Washington DC as part of Trump's bizarre celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the United States. This post, shared on Wednesday, was put out with the caption: "Freedom REVS. Stay tuned for the Freedom 250 Grand Prix THIS WEEKEND!" Social media users were fast to leave comments below the post on who they thought the characters either side of Trump were. One person wrote: "Hillary, Trump and Epstein." Another X user said: "Why Epstein in the go cart?" Another person said: "Looks a lot like Epstein … what a f**king clown show this Admin is … total f**king incompetents." The Oversight Dems account, the X profile for the House Committee on Oversight, even jumped in on the mockery. Oversight Dems replied to the post and said "Jesus Christ, that’s Jeffrey Epstein" with a shocked meme. Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution in 2008. He was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, in New York City, in 2019, while waiting trial. This is not the first time the US Government and Trump has been mocked or slammed for bizarre AI posts on X. Trump, earlier this month, shared an AI portrait of himself sat next to George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Just a few hours earlier, the President shared an AI image of a slimmed-down version of himself in an Elvis-style low-cut jumpsuit exposing his bare chest, decorated with two sequined bald eagles. The US President caused an outroar, in April, when he shared an AI image of himself as Jesus Christ. Trump later deleted the image off his Truth Social account. The Mirror has reached out to the US Department of Education for comment.
