A three-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after reportedly falling from a first-floor window in Rochdale on Saturday afternoon, Greater Manchester Police said
A three-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after reportedly falling from a window in Rochdale.
Emergency services were called to Spotland Tops, in the Cutgate area of the town, shortly after 4.15pm on Saturday. Police and paramedics responded to the incident at the residential estate, with an air ambulance also spotted landing nearby.
Our sister title the Manchester Evening News understands that a three-year-old boy fell from a window on the first floor of a property.
Greater Manchester Police said a child was taken to hospital, where he is currently in a critical condition.
A force spokesperson said: "We were called today (22 August 2026) at around 4.16pm to reports [of] concern [for] the welfare of a child on Spotland Tops, Rochdale.
"Emergency services attended and the child was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a critical condition. Enquiries into the full circumstances around this incident are ongoing."
