Netflix teases GTA VI Extended Look this week as we find way to watch for free Rockstar Games have teamed up with Netflix to release an extended preview of Grand Theft Auto 6 that's expected to reveal never-before-seen details of the hugely anticipated game Netflix fans can get a closer look at Grand Theft Auto VI this week when the streamer drops an exclusive extended preview. GTA VI: An Extended Look will premiere at 8pm BST on Thursday (August 27) and will reveal ‘more about the game that will define the next era of entertainment’. Details on what will feature in the showcase are still unconfirmed, but we’d expect to see a deep dive into its gameplay and the revamped Vice City setting. According to reports in Vice, An Extended Look will run for approximately 20 minutes. As it will initially broadcast exclusively on Netflix, GTA fans will need a subscription to tune in, but one retailer is giving them away for free. Sky dishes out a free Netflix subscription with each of its TV streaming packages, which now start at £15 per month for the Essential TV bundle. Netflix is also provided with Sky’s £24 Ultimate TV bundle, which includes HBO Max, Disney+ and 35 more channels too. Elsewhere, Virgin Media offers free Netflix with its own packages, but these start at a higher £32.99. However, this Entertainment bundle has more perks, including 200 channels and 516Mbps fibre broadband. Sky is giving away a free Netflix subscription with its new Sky Stream TV bundles, including the £15 Essential TV bundle. This lets members watch live and on-demand TV content without a satellite dish or aerial and includes hit shows like Stranger Things and The Last of Us. There’s a catch with both Sky and Virgin, as prices are expected to increase at least twice during the 24-month contract. Sky won’t confirm next year’s prices just yet, but Virgin has already announced its Entertainment bundle will rise to £36.99 from April 2027 and £40.99 from April 2028. The surprise partnership between Netflix and Rockstar Games is being touted as the ‘first of its kind’, with the streaming giant saying it ‘represents the next generation of storytelling and content on Netflix’. “The anticipation and fandom around Grand Theft Auto VI is unprecedented, and we’re honored that Rockstar Games has partnered with us to debut the next part of the Grand Theft Auto story with Netflix members first,” said Brandon Riegg, Netflix’s VP of Nonfiction Series. “It’s a reflection of what we hope Netflix is becoming: a place where the most ambitious storytelling, from any medium, can find the biggest possible audience.” It’s worth noting GTA VI: An Extended Look will also air on Rockstar’s YouTube at 2am on August 28 following Netflix’s six-hour exclusivity window. Ahead of launch, a separate deal lets gamers save more than £15 when pre-ordering GTA VI for PS5. At Argos, the game’s physical edition – which includes a download code rather than a disc – usually costs £67.99, but this can be reduced to £52.37 by shopping through TopCashback. By creating an account on this deals site, new members will receive a £15 welcome payment when spending £15 or more, plus cashback at Argos. These bonuses combine to effectively reduce GTA VI to £52.37 after cashback, saving £15.62 from the usual price. Only new members who are also new Argos customers can take advantage of this deal, while new members who already shop at Argos will pay a slightly higher £52.71 after cashback. Alternatively, retailers like Amazon and The Game Collection are taking GTA VI pre-orders for £67.95.
