Titled The Janitor, the film stars Peaky Blinders actor Harry Kirton as a publicist who cleans up the elite’s scandals from various high-profile names, with one scene that has been called ‘The Table of Filth’ reportedly recreating episodes from the former prince’s downfall. Producers for the movie have yet to confirm who will play Andrew, who has consistently denied any wrongdoings. In February, the former Duke of York was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, over allegations he gave confidential information to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew was released later on the day he was arrested, as he remains under investigation by Thames Valley Police, who are probing into his time as UK trade envoy in the early 2000s. The former prince vehemently denies all claims. Lawyers for Andrew were contacted by the producers of the film, who offered the disgraced royal a chance to give his side of the story before the script is finalised, according to the Mail on Sunday. However, it is believed Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has declined to engage with the production, which could be released before Christmas. The Mirror has contacted Buckingham Palace, who did not wish to comment on the former prince. Andrew’s lawyers have also been contacted for comment. It has been reported that in one fictionalised scene of the film, a reporter hands the former prince the infamous picture of himself with Virginia Giuffre, who claimed she was forced to have sex with him when she was 17 – an allegation he has always denied. The former duke’s ex-girlfriend Lady Victoria Hervey, 49, will also be portrayed in the film, though it is not known who will play her. A production source said the film’s legal team has ‘bullet-proofed every single frame’ and is prepared for backlash upon the movie’s release. The insider added it drags ‘into the daylight some of the most toxic cover-ups in modern British history’. The news of the film comes after a friend of Andrews said he turned down the King’s invitation to join the Royal Family at Balmoral for the traditional summer break. A pal of the former Duke of York alleges he rejected the invitation as he feared he would be treated like an ‘outcast’ if he travelled there. It is believed that his older brother Charles, who stripped Mr Mountbatten-Windsor of his royal titles and booted him out of his Royal Lodge mansion, has not seen him this year, despite the two only being a mile apart when the monarch stays at Sandringham. It is thought only Prince Edward has seen him since he was arrested on his 66th birthday and moved to Marsh Farm, following new claims about his association with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. He was last seen publicly with members of the Firm at the funeral of the Duchess of Kent last September. He denies all wrongdoing. A friend of Mr Mountbatten-Windsor's told The Sun : "Andrew feels he’s been abandoned. He feels like he is no longer part of the family. "He was invited but has got no great desire to be at Balmoral as he has nothing to gain and would be treated as an outcast. What’s the point, he feels, of going all the way there for a much-needed holiday and being treated as an elephant in the room?"
