Doctors did not become “fixated” on a grandmother’s use of Mounjaro before her death despite concerns raised by her family, a coroner has said.
Caroline Savage, 73, died from faecal peritonitis caused by perforated sigmoid diverticular disease after attending hospital with severe abdominal pain in October 2024.
Her family had questioned whether clinicians were too quick to attribute her symptoms to possible side effects of Mounjaro. But Norfolk area coroner Yvonne Blake said doctors had considered other possible causes.
