The LaLiga club have reportedly had a loan offer rejected for the 25-year-old, but they intend to continue their push for his signature amid competition from Aston Villa. Sources told ESPN on Monday that Arsenal are ready to make an approach for Atleti forward Julián Álvarez, who is prioritising a switch to Barcelona, and it looks as though Jackson could be seen by Atleti as a potential replacement. Jackson has also been linked with Aston Villa, who could want him to replace striker Ollie Watkins.
- Bournemouth striker Junior Kroupi is on the radar of Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal, according to The i Paper. All three clubs have reportedly made inquiries for the 20-year-old, despite the forward being unavailable due to a foot injury. Ahanor made 22 Serie A starts last season and has been capped twice by Italy at senior international level.
- Aston Villa are lining up an approach for AC Milan winger Rafael Leão, according to Football Insider. The 27-year-old Portugal international is believed to be pushing to leave the San Siro this summer, with Villa manager Unai Emery keen to reinforce his side with multiple signings after the 4-0 Premier League defeat against Brighton on Sunday. Leao, who is contracted until the summer of 2028, has previously been linked with clubs in Turkey.
